Do you think Loma would fight Lopez like he did Nakatani from the start?

Lomachenko opens up more and does a little better, but gets stopped when Teo counters him with some heat.

In the first fight Loma could not establish himself against a dominant left jab and a powerful puncher in Lopez. Every time Loma stepped up the gas it became a good fight but he couldn't last against the stronger, just as skilled, harder hitting and younger Lopez.

Loma's excuse was he was injured...ok.

I don't think an injury lost Loma the fight, he came against a fighter who did everything better on the night and was taller and with longer each too. So what would change now?

I think he will start off at a faster pace than the first fight. he literally didn't do anything the first 6 rounds. impressive win last night tho, truly dominate.

It won't go much different than the first one. Lomachenko is a very economical fighter now and if the pace is slowed down, Lopez will just edge rounds like in the first fight by just being more active. Lopez is able to take Lomachenko's angles away and is a sharp counter puncher that will always make Lomachenko hesitant enough to open up. Lomachenko averaged 26 punches thrown per round vs Lopez and around 24 last night. This just may be who he is going forward. There may be a round or two where he really opens up, but for the most part that will not be the case.

              Lopez via UD.

I think it’s a 7-5 sort of fight either way. I see Loma applying calculated pressure while Teo sits back and looks for big counters. The key for me is Loma’s southpaw straight left vs Teo’s counter right uppercut.

Loma was able to score with it in rounds 7-11 but he got caught when forced to press the action in an effort to catch up.

I don’t wanna be a prisoner of the moment though so I need to see how Teo comes back from Covid against Kambosos

I think that Loma would look to score with his straight left more. I don’t think he will stay in the pocket to exchange too much but I do see him being more aggressive vs laying back for six rounds

Lopez was able to execute his game plan due to Loma not throwing at all early in the fight. Loma has to be active early, it’ll throw Lopez off. Protect the body, slip the rights, catch the jabs, move his feet, find angles and land the straight left upstairs and right hook to the body.
