We knew that this was going to happen, not like we needed verbal confirmation. Boxing is all about prioritizing and over-hyping in-house match-ups, while minimizing and over-marinating cross-promotional match-ups. This is affecting damn near every division. Davis is just the latest victim (or beneficiary) of this bullshxt. Fighters will continue running their mouths and their teams will continue to do what they can to manipulate the risk/reward ratio. It wouldn't surprise me if Davis faces Isaac Cruz soon as that opponent matches up perfectly with him.
