Last night an Aztec Prince had to fight in the hood instead of Al Haymon giving the opportunity to fight in front of a bigger attendance in Texas. Fighters get to share sales gate, and a Texas crowd would’ve dropped more money on this fight than stanking ATL. Every punch by Barrios would’ve had roars in Texas the same way Cali boy Santa Cruz drew a crowd for Davis. Haymon and Floyd knew all that so they duped Barrios that ATL would better

To El Azteca, I would say bro, there's nothing wrong with a little strategic clinching, doesn't make you any less of a warrior.
Tank looked pretty good. Started off slow, as usual, exhibited better defense than expected as the fight progressed. Did what he had to do and closed the show. The first hook knockdown was a beautiful shot.
I thought Davis did good. Fought careful, as he should. Imho, Davis looked the most cautious in this fight when he got hit, though occasionally smiled back. I honestly think Barrios doesn’t hit hard, OR, he just doesn’t have the real dog in him. Throw back fighters like Jesus Soto Karass or Antonio DeMarco are guys to study, guys whom are thin and lanky. Those guys have more dog than Barrios I guess. I mean Karass went to war with Berto and Maidana. Thing is Barrios hasn’t mastered lanky tactics. The longer armed you are is a huge benefit when swinging wide from a distance. Fans might not realize it, but lanky skinny guys whom are good with wide loooping shots are dangerous when guys have the high guard. Davis was very tight with the high guard, thats when you have to commit to angles to measure Davis’ range and response. Barrios is more textbook punching in linear direction. Even Santa Cruz knew when to loop, especially when on the inside. Maidana was good at this technique. Let the weight of your arm in awkward angles just smash the high guards. Karass would do that. That’s how he would clip Berto…
there’s a lot of weight and momentum when you do it proper. The result is like this
Wasn't giving the first half my full attention on account of split screening but I thought Tank looked decent, went largely as expected I reckon. Barrios having some success with a ctivity, Tank biding his time looking for the finisher... and man, that's on thing he does very, very well. If I had any of criticism of Tank it's that he should get in the habit of pushing the action a bit more... Barrios wasn't able to trouble him hugely(although he did sting him a few times) and it was always likely he would find an opening, but as he steps up the levels against the bigger guys he ain't necessarily gonna be able to count on landing the KO. Can't afford to let his better opponents pile up rounds.
I know they already said Tanks gonna stay at 135 but that'd also be my advice, he is a bit undersized at 140 and I think there's a few guys there, Regis in particular who'd give him serious problems... very much like to see that fight though.
