Aik 'The Humanoid' Shaknazarian also leaves Tank a pile of smoking twisted metal in the naming accuracy stakes. Having watched a few of his fights I can confirm that he is, indeed, human shaped.

Oh yeah... And Robbie 'The Camden Caretaker' Chapman -one of our lockdown regulars - also probably deserves a nod. Robbie's a school caretaker.... From Camden.

more recently, I've enjoyed Shohjahon "Descendant of Tamerlane" Ergashev. I wonder if he's a Descendant of Tamerlane?

Be a tricky one to prove I think, unless they got some of Timur's remains to run a DNA test on, although given the number of wives and concubines a great war leader like Tamerlane is likely to have had I'd guess there's a non-trivial chance of it actually being true.

EDIT: so how about that?Tamerlane did in fact have many wives and concubines and dozens of children. Also they do - or did - have his remains which were exhumed in 1941 by a Soviet archaeologist.

Although legend has it they were replaced due to the 'Curse of Tamerlane' which some believed was the cause of the German invasion

I think “Adrian Broner 2.0” also applies.
This guy is mentally weak and it will catch up to him.

So they likely were able to run DNA then? Or do you think it's just based on assumption, like how many descendants Genghis Khan had

There have been a few tank type fighters in Boxing that seemed to break down when they ran in to the top tier fighters. I doubt that will happen to Davis but he needs to be fighting that top tierto really own the name Tank.

To be fair he has already beaten a couple of real good names, fighters who can sniff out a fraud and unravel them and he's passed those tests.

I'd guess it's assumption based, apparently the tomb is now sealed on account of the 'curse' (the body was apparently replaced shortly before the victory at Stalingrad) but I'll bet half of Uzbekistan claims lineage.

I can imagine there'll be '100% legitimate' genealogists in Samarkand where you can pick up documentary evidence that you're a descendent of Tamerlane for 1,000,000 UZS or so.

Maybe I'm being unduly cynical though, 600 odd years is a long time but some noble lineages will be quite fiercely protective of their history... could be Shohjahon actually does come from a family that's preserved it's history or at least has someone who claimed a link amongst his ancesrty.
