Let's talk PEDs, what decade were boxers the most juiced?

Was it the 70s,80s, 90s, today? When did boxers first start juicing? Did it ever become a scandal like in Baseball? Are today's fighters cleaner than before or just on less detectable stuff?

This topic feels dirty to me and I refuse to acknowledge its existence starting now

Everybody was on juice in the 80's-90's

people didn't care if fighters were on something back then

PEDs weren't very advanced in the 70's and below, but you can bet all the old timers were on whatever was available that could give them advantage,

they knew everybody else was doing it, so they'd be fools if they didn't

people who think professional fighters are squeaky clean are naive

you see guys in gyms everywhere, doing all kind of PEDs just so they can look better in sleevless shirts to impress the girls

what do you think happens in a sport where millions of dollars are at stake?

You should be less spiteful and more grateful that Holyfield slept with your mom.

Suppose you would need to compile a list of positive ped tests or verified usage of illegal substances.

Off the top of my head, Floyd stands out in the last decade for the abnormal te ratios and verified illegal iv levels well above accepted threshold.

80's-early 2000's was the golden age of steroids imo. The commissions were complete trash. They still aren't the best now either but way better than before. In the early 2000's guys like Roy Jones Jr. popped but didn't receive harsh penalties. The drug testing and penalties got better later into the decade though. Then Floyd Mayweather Jr. helped everyone to see that the commissions testing was still flawed and we need full random Olympic style drug testing. Sadly, full random Olympic style drug testing isn't mandatory for all even now.
