Why are American boxers allowed to make excuses without backlash?

Lol...if you think Wilder and Ruiz have gotten passes, I'd hate see what you think counts as a non-pass - maybe dragging them out of their houses or something. Wilder has been absolutely shredded for his excuses and so has Ruiz albeit to a lesser extent but he's not as high profile as Wilder and his excuses were not as outloudish. What on earth has convinced you they've gotten passes?
