Rewatched Gervonta Davis vs Leo Santa Cruz, Some Thoughts....

Yep, Leo had success in multiple exchanges but Barrios has to stay more disciplined. Leo took Tank's shots very well early on and I believe that played a part in him being overconfident.Leo got greedy. He was having some real success and actually going toe to toe, not only trading with Tank but often getting the better of the exchanges. Especially early on, but sooner or later Tank was going to land the grand slam. Which was pretty much Tank's entire game plan. And Leo played right into it. You could see that KO coming from a mile away.
Trading with Tank is a recipe for disaster.
So while Leo had some good moments when he threw his combinations, it may be a good thing for Barrios that he doesn't do that. He won't be in the danger zone like Leo was.
Leo would throw this shovel uppercut through the guard which was sweet and he landed that punch a few times. I wonder if Barrios picked up on that and implements that tomorrow night?Comment
