Vasiliy Lomachenko is on a mission to reclaim his place among the sport's very best. Step one for the two-time Olympic Gold medalist and former three-division titlist comes this Saturday, as Lomachenko (14-2, 10KOs) faces Japan's Masayoshi Nakatani (19-1, 13KOs) in a scheduled 12-round lightweight contest. Both boxers made weight for their bout Saturday evening, which streams live on ESPN+ from ****** Hotels Las Vegas.

Nakatani is a big 135 and he's a warrior. But he almost got knocked out the last time against Verdejo. This Japanese is easy to hit, really easy, and limited overall.

Loma is just too fast, too sharp and too skillful!

Lomachenko by late stoppage in a unilateral case!

If Loma's shoulder holds up, he should style on Nakatani. It would be pretty impressive if he can score a stoppage. Nakatani is tough as nails and even though Verdejo dropped him twice and was winning nearly every round, Nakatani never lost confidence and continued to come on. So I doubt Lomachenko is able to break Nakatani's will as he has been with his past opponents. If he stops him, it will likely come from a referee stoppage from the amount of punishment Nakatani is taking.

Good comeback fight for Lomachenko before he jumps back in with the top guns at 135.
