      just cant buy it.
i understand that you want to get your boy pac the most credit for the fight, but you cant honestly say that oscar was in good shape weighing 147 that night. he didnt train to win that fight, he trained to make weight and retire with as sweet pay check. pac gets credit obviously, but lets be honest about which de la hoya he defeated.

Too much ranting about Oscar's drained weight. Yet Oscar himself proclaimed he wasn't supposed to be at 154. "What was I doing at 154?" was what he said.

Yet, people forget Manny came up to 147 which was almost unreal, considering he was at 135 barely a year before.

Oscar's coming down in weight had as much an effect as Manny's going up, and if Manny was supposed to beat Oscar, the quitting was the last thing on everyone's mind.

        Gatti vs. Gomez...

He weighed in at 145 and put on only 2 pounds by fight time for crying out load , are you people crazy , that just dont happen to a fighter that steps into the ring normally around 160 unless something is seriously wrong , Roach knew exactly what was up as soon as he heard Oscar had only put on 2 pounds , he new he was ***ed and so did anybody that has half a clue about weight manipulation off fighters , Oscar and his team screwed it up big time , the science of weight and the scales dont lie .

The only people who don't agree ODLH was weight drained are Pac nuthuggers.

              That should tell you something.

The thing is i don't understand why they bother, Pac got a great win over Hatton in his next fight, revel in that instead of worrying about trying to big up a win over the carcass of ODLH.

odlh looked more tired and gassed in round 8 vs mayweather, which tells me he was better conditioned going against Manny. The only difference is Manny had the killer instinct to brutalize Oscar, while Floyd was trying to fight olympic style with points, only to end up with a split decision. Floyd impressed none in the biggest fight of his career

I dont buy the weight drained argument, since in 24/7 ODLH weighed in at 147 at least 3 weeks before the fight. If he was truly drained, he wouldve lost 10lbs the week or days before the fight, but that wasnt the case. His training consisted of a lot of cardio and conditioning, to keep up with the speed and stamina of Manny. A drained ODLH wouldve been KOd

losing weight and gaining weight are two completely differrent procedures the body goes through

If Oscar was in that good condition then he would of atleast threw a danm few combos in there. Im not on Oscars nuts but let's be fair he was either weightdrained or completely lost the ability to box on the night. Im not discrediting Pac because it's a good win considering Oscar was by far the bigger man but danm guys lets be honest a prime Oscar would have whooped his ass so i'll leave it like that.
