It was a good win but I still think Floyd's was better, even if it went to the scorecards.

Pac-Man whipped his ass! drained or not. never in the history of boxing had an "elite" fighter challenged another at such a weight advantage, and got beat-up so bad!!!!

His weight tells the tale , all the bull**** in the world dont hide what Oscar weighed , he killed himself on the scales before the fight started , Roach even said when he weighed in so light he was gone , Oscar was weight drained in every sense of what the meaning of weight drained is .

When you get to 36 years of age, losing any weight is difficult. Oscar was a dead man walking in that fight. It was still a great win for Pac, but people need to remember that wasn't a healthy De La Hoya.

there was nothing to rehydrate. he weighed 150 a month before the fight. that's why he only gained 2 pounds after the weight in. very ****** strategy to reset your natural weight to a welterweight so far in advance of the fight.

I agree with this. DLH should have picked a 154 fighter and not went after the name.

with you on that. ODLH didn't even think of using the weight-drained thing, it was the fat yank US press who kept offering it up to him on a plate as an excuse, eventually Oscar starting deluding himself into agreeing with them.
