What things annoy you in boxing

    I'll start.

Taking 20 seconds after a low blow.

ESPECIALLY after a blatent low blow and ESPECIALLY if the opponent has momentum.

They get given up to 5 minutes to recover from a low blow, yet I've seen guys who are GASSED and starting to lose a fight and they get hit flush in the nads, the ref says "take as long as you need" then 15 seconds later they say they are OK to fight on.

    Are you ******.

Leading with the head and laying your head on the opponent. I think both should be penalized harshly. Tons of headbutts come from face 1st brawlers doing that bullsheeit. It also forces opponents to clinch, tie up, push off with the elbow, etc... Less people would complain about clinches if trash fighters weren't allowed to lead with their head. Sweat can also get into a fighters eyes from trash brawlers leading with the head. But since a certain big boxing crowd does it 24/7 it's allowed. More fighters should foul to retaliate against leading with the head but not a Mike Tyson ear bite lol.

        Refs

If a fight is dirty, it's because the ref is incompetent.

Boxers talking smack about Boxers they have no intention of fighting. I'm sick of hearing what they WOULD do when they have no intention of proving it.

Honestly its the fact that too often the best fighters avoid each other and never fight . Look at other 1 on 1 sports , Federer , Nadal and Djokovic have played each other 50 times each for 5 hours a time . Yet some of the best boxers cant get together for 1 36 minute fight .
And the attitude to rematches , like theyve fought once so its settled . If its a close fight like for example Teo Loma or Taylor Prograis then theres still plenty of interest in another fight.

I don't think any other 1-1 sport has such powerful promoters and dueling networks
