Where did the hype that Benevidez is a killer start?(I see Chavez Jr 2.0)

Can someone please explain why Benevidez is ranked highly & claimed to be some killer. I just don't see anything resembling greatness about him/his career.

Maybe I should word this differently: what has Benevidez done in fights or through his skillset,to show he deserves to be thought of as superior to Saunders for example,or Charlo?

Or what opponent did he beat that proved his talent/skillset that says hed beat who Canelos been fighting? I think Charlo vs him is pickem fight,I think vs Smith would be a pickem fight,& I think he would wear out Plant,but I don't see him as a boogieman to anyone(I think Badou Jack batters him at smw)

Charlo? He looked less than impressive yesterday to say the least.

Yes Charlo definitely don't want that smoke,& he looked as awful as can be,but Benevidez looked awful before too(but at least he blasts out bums hes expected to unlike Mall)

I just don't rate Benevidez as elite yet til he beats a real champion/elite,which only quitter Dirrell qualifies as semi/slightly elite out of his past foes.

He’s definitely not Chavez Jr in terms of boxing ability. Maybe in terms of discipline and commitment but he’s a million times better in the ring. He’s a pressure fighter that walks down his opponent but his defense is surprisingly good. He covers up well.

He has the durability, size, and hand speed to give Canelo fits but he doesn’t seem to move his much and is a bit stiff

He is nothing like chavez jr. He is colder, meaner, has power, has skills and will fight till the end and not quit.
