Because we are in a full blown recession you moron. Nothing is selling like it was in 2007.
Doing 1.25 million PPV buys during the US economy's worst state since the Great Depression is impressive, IMO.

People need to be realistic.
Cotto or Pacman are not good draws PPV wise, they do draw a crowd at the fight. That is due to nationalistic pride. Look at Pacmans PPV numbers, they are nothing special.
Both Cotto and Pacman speak poor English. The people who buy the most PPV are white people. FACT. This is why PBF/Hatton was a success. Hatton is a very likable white boxers. Most white Americans were rooting for him.
They is nothing entertaining about them. How will HBO hype this fight, it will be very hard. Compare to PBF/Hatton, that fight appealed on many factors, white v black, USA V UK, trash talker v quiet brawler and so on.
What is Cotto/Pacman going to use?? Pinoy v Rican. Asian v Hispanic. They have nothing, ZERO

Cotto and Pacquiao are both more entertaining fighter then Mayweather. Their fighting styles are entertaining, & when two agressive styles clash like that it's guaranteed fireworks! That is good enough for the fans.
