He's been calling out Dawson, in fact he was Dawson's mandatory and Dawson chose to give up his belt rather than fight him (which is why Cloud fought Woods for Chad's vacant belt). Obviously you cant fault Dawson since he's fighting Glen Johnson now and a lot of people want that rematch plus it's more money.

But the thing about the potential fight that makes me believe Cloud can win is using the Dawson vs Johnson fight as an example of how tough of a fight it will be for Dawson. If Dawson struggled big time against a 39 year old Johnson, I think that tells us he'll have a hard time with a 27 year old, younger, faster, stronger, more determined version of Glen Johnson. Dawson doesn't like that pressure and he doesn't like being hit, Cloud is going to pressure him relentlessly just like Johnson did, but he'll be more effective.

I can see Cloud winning that fight. Also, I hope this isn't true but I have a feeling Dawson may dance around the idea of fighting Cloud for a while.

This goes to show you what can happen when you are active in boxing or just had a fight. Cloud should've been fighting more often in this past year, but he didn't know for sure that Dawson was going to excercise his rematch clause for Tarver while Cloud was the mandatory.

I'll be willing to bet some of my points that a Dawson-Cloud fight will never happen. Dawson will figure out a way to duck him, mark my words. He didn't even want to fight Johnson again to be honest. HBO had to force him to do it. On the other hand, Johnson went on record in a press release on ESB and said he would tune in to Cloud's fight with Woods and pointed out that he would be interested in fighting Cloud if he was able to get the win over Woods. This is why I'm a huge fan of Johnson. The guy has balls of clank and will fight anybody, anywhere.

I think he's better than Lacy. He just ain't got as big a buzz on him as Lacy had a few yrs ago.

Gotta love Johnson man. To be honest, I'll be cheering for Johnson to beat Dawson again. I would love to see Johnson vs Cloud for a unification bout. How awesome for the fans would that be? Two guys who go forward and never quit.

Nah, it will happen...... eventually. Its a high risk low reward for Dawson right now, not saying its a good reason for Dawson not to fight him. Cloud should stay active and keep looking impressive to create some more of a buzz then maybe the fight will be more financially attractive for Dawson.

I'll be rooting for Johnson myself. I like how you worded your post. You'll be rooting for Johnson to beat Dawson again.
