Comments Thread For: Hearn: Anthony Joshua Believes That He Punishes Oleksandr Usyk

Mandatories are the name of the game, but Eddie Hearn would be lying if he didn't feel a bit knackered by the sanctioning bodies and their seemingly ceaseless demands. The latest order for Joshua's next fight comes from the WBO, involving the former undisputed cruiserweight Oleksandr Usyk, a somewhat unproven commodity at heavyweight but whose unique skill set in the higher weight classes cannot be questioned.

Well logic would say that he isn’t held in the same esteem they are. Those are established all time greats, he isn’t

Wilder never defended against a non Hayom/King fighter till Fury, his defences and "mandatories" are the stuff of legend ;-) .

Josh is a throwback. He only fights people who are supposed to test him. Like usyk another stern test. Who might be a better boxer so an excellent fight.
let's hope Josh and fury come through

Wilder has gotta be the most polarizing heavyweight today for better or worse. This is an article about AJ. yet most of the comments are about Wilder. He brings out such strong emotions in people. Even before the court arbitration it felt like you couldn't talk about the heavyweight division without bringing him up, and he doesn't even have the title anymore.
