If there is anyone outhere who could have knocked Hopkins out it's McClellan.

That being said it would have been a hel of a fight in 94 or so but I'd still have picked Hopkins by decision in a good fight.

I got McClellan by decision. I think he would definitely knock down and hurt Hopkins, but Hopkins was really tough so he'd hang on till the end.

Enough of the McClellan threads, he was not a great fighter he was just a great puncher.

Hopkins I think would've been too cagey for McClellan.

hopkins imo would have taken it - mclellan is a good fighter but is made out to be some sort of supernautural force in his heyday. he was a big puncher with a solid set of whiskers but imo he could be outboxed.

id favour bernards skills and elusiveness to stand him in good stead, he would use good lateral movement to stay away from the right hand. i think hed simple be too slick for the g-man

                  Hopkins.

                  Just a better fighter.

McCellan is so often overrated because he's a "what could have been".
