What about the time Margs demanded the rematch?? What did Paul do? Went after Quintana and got beat. Why you think he didn't stay at the WW division?? Cause he knew there was a big chance of a repeat so he moved up and fed people the bull**** no one wants to fight him. He will only do it for the number one guy but doesn't want to put in work.

He basically just beat Pavlik's number 1 threat unless you want to say Abraham is better while Pavlik is beating up on Rubio and Lockett and getting his ass handed to him by that 43 year old you always claim is overrated. And Margarito ran far away from any rematch. Williams offered Margarito the rematch after Cintron pulled out with that hand injury and Margarito bitched out. I also remember hearing things like him saying he thought he was robbed and didn't want to fight P-Will again. The only thing he did was petition to become #1 in the WBO. He never asked for a rematch. He always wanted to land that Cotto fight. And the thing that makes him look like a coward is the fact that the first Williams fight paid him more than the first Cotto fight, and yet he wanted to fight Cotto again. Margarito is a certified *****.

Margarito made more fighting Cotto. He ended up with a 1.5 million guarantee plus ppv revenues which was a whole lot more. . Cotto got guaranteed 3 plus million which Arum bumped up to around 7 million
He didn't get nearly that for Williams. 1.6 plus decidely less revenues.

I don't think the issue was that Margarito was a *****, it was that Arum thought he got screwed over by Williams management so he claimed he'd never do business with them again when it came to Margs (Goosen,etc)

But one thing that I do have to give him credit for is at least having the balls to fight Paul Williams one time unlike Mosley and Cotto. In fact, Cotto ducked Williams more blantantly than Margarito did by not beating him for his belt.

The reason why I had to give up on Margarito is because he thought he was a rock star just because he beat Cotto, and that attitude cost him. I still think Mosley would've whooped his ass regardless. But it was like dragging a dog by it's tail to get this guy to report to somebody while everybody thought he was kidnapped in Mexico, when in actuality he was living it up on the beach while he should've been easier to deal with in the negotiation for the Mosley fight.
