So explain how a retired fighter in an exhibition damaged boxing’s reputation with casual fans when casual fans don’t tune into boxing unless it’s Floyd or aging hwt’s?

This new generation of casual fans are from Logan Paul's followers. Those were the majority of viewers for this "exhibition". That's why Floyd cherry picked him and now it has backfired. Now all those Logan/Jake fans who were told Floyd was TBE, are shrugging their shoulders wondering if that was boxing's best. As much as Floyd claims to have been retired, he was still active. This isn't Jim Jeffries coming out of a six year retirement to fight a prime Johnson. This was a still well-preserved Floyd who swore he'd knockout Logan Paul, the 0-1 youtuber.

Ghost you’re desperately trying to make this more than it is to criticize Floyd which is just silly.

No one thinks this is how Floyd really boxed anymore than anyone that watched Brock Lesnar wrestle as an amateur watched him in WWE.

Yes, the fans that bought this were Logan Paul fans. They aren’t going to watch boxing outside of Logan/ jake Paul.

The real problem is the guys you like can’t get people to watch while Floyd and other retired fighters are bringing in the dough.

Would you accuse of Ali of the same thing since he did exact same thing?

This is dumber than the ****** **** the TS posted. Floyd has done more to connect with casual fans than any boxer since Leonard.

You guys live in this fantasy world where the guys you love attract all these fans. Yet the ratings reflect they don’t. Meanwhile the any credible metric shows Floyd actually crossed over and brought casual fans to the sport.

The sad thing is these exhibitions and celebrity fights attract casuals more than almost every top boxer except Canelo, whose majority fanbase is Mexican fans.

I'm talking about the potential fans who had little to no interest in boxing, or little to no knowledge of boxing. Basically the millions of Logan Paul followers who were told by the casual media that Floyd was TBE. Now they just watched their YouTube idol go a full 8 rounds with a guy who was supposedly the greatest of all time. That's a black eye for boxing right there, no matter how you try to spin it.

You keep dismissing this performance because it was an "exhibition", yet Floyd and his coach insisted they would knock out Logan in 5 rounds or less. Obviously they saw this as a fight, that was masquerading as an exhibition.

Dude you sound ******ed. The Logan Paul followers are smart enough to know this wasn’t a real boxing match. They also don’t watch real boxing, they watch celebrity exhibitions. They get the difference-like the people that watch wwe and the people that watch Greco Roman and Olympic wrestling.

Of course I’m dismissing it because it was an exhibition not a real bout. No they didn’t. They just said that for marketing purposes.

                Come on dude. Ridiculous.

So now you know the intent of their comments? You have inside info we aren't getting out of those videos that show Floyd's coach predicting a 5th round KO?

Logan's followers see Floyd as a joke now. An 0-1 YouTuber just went a full 8 rounds with a guy who claims to be the best boxer of all time. Only his most loyal and hopeless fanboys are trying to run damage control after that cherry pick backfired.

He don't want to admit that Floyd was garbage.
