George Foreman fought 5 men in one night while in the middle of a mental breakdown, with Ali baiting him from the ring apron. Was that any less undignified than a retired Floyd sparring a famous Youtuber?

The difference is that the sport meant something to people back then, whereas now all we're left with is the circus act.
The sport means something to plenty of people now, such as myself. Don't think that your opinion speaks for everyone. Ali's exhibition is the most hideous fight of all time. This is not new.

The Hurd fight stole the show. Glad I didn't pay for this disaster though. Like Spence Jr. said, Fraud is literally robbing the people at this point. Meaningless fight that has no merit against a 0-1 guy. Wtf thought it would be eventful? Classic, mooch off someone more popular than yourself as Fraud has done all his career. Nobody pays to just see him come out and fight so needs a dance partner that always brings in the $$$.

Stop it. Boxing is a fringe sport. It only makes the headlines when you have circus acts like this one.

I don't need something to be popular to like it. My second fave sport is football (soccer) a major sport, but it doesn't compare to top level boxing to me, not even close.

You’re taking this way too seriously. It’s also a real shame that you and others equate this to robbery. At some point you guys need to accept the fact that some people just want to have fun.

I get everything you’re posting. That said, it’s like music. Garbage pop artists often make considerably more than far more talented true artists because the pop artists appeal to soccer moms and tween girls- the people that spend money the most.

Seriously, this was a silly event that didn’t harm anyone.

You are right, people get entertained different ways and who am I to say what’s not entertainment.

Knowing how Floyd conducts himself, image is everything. That’s why his career was so calculated and his opponents were wisely chosen. His “0” meant everything and he did everything to protect it. So to him his image is everything.

Point is, this “entertainment” he put on made him
money but was it really worth it? He made himself look like a total buffoon for a few million extra dollars.

They showed Floyd walking back to his dressing room after his fight and he looked dead on like how Broner looked when maidana beat him. Floyd was mentally beaten last night.

IMO, that shht wasn’t worth it. For a rich mfer like him to make himself a buffoon and meme character for few extra dollars. It’s sad.

Funny thing is, last nights broadcast it was all about someone becoming a meme character as they were anticipating Floyd was going to bury dude. Nevertheless, there were a hundreds and shots where Floyd will become a meme.

            Floyd didn’t need that shht.

To be fair to Floyd there is nothing new in how he conducts himself during interviews etc, so none of this is surprising.

Floyd is deeply insecure despite his incredible success.

He just lacks intelligence and cannot articuate himself due to poor literacy and education.

I'm suprised that some people seem to think he will become a more reflective, insightful and humble person as he matures.

The ****** mentality is very simple. When challenged there are only 2 responses, mockery or violence.

You’re talking about a guy worth over $600 million who starts fights with random fans in hotel parking lots just for photographing his car. He has always been mentally unstable.

Again I think you can’t take everything he said so literally. He brags about his record because the networks use undefeated records to connect with casual fans because that is how they understand sports.

Floyds family life was spent in the sport. He has a keen understanding of its history. He knows being undefeated isn’t the end all and be all.

I still think you are taking things too seriously when you say Buffon. People know how to separate things. You think for example Brock Lesnar’s ncaa amateur wrestling career is compromised because he went to WWE? Of course not.

Floyd is a 1st ballot hof boxer. Anyone that thinks this takes away from that is either petty or not thinking clearly.

Michael Jordan is a meme. It’s the nature of where we are as a society, not who they are as athletes .

I hear ya but I’m just stating fact and not taking anything anyway. Fact is Floyd’s image is everything.

You are giving Floyd to much credit imo. What other mega rich guy would put himself in a potentially compromising buffoonish position for a few extra dollars?

You just had to see Floyd walking back to his locker room, he was a mentally beaten man. Even in the post fight press conference he stated he was retired from real boxing and he is done with exhibition shht. He knew he made a buffoon idiot of himself.

                    It’s just a shame.

Phloyd is very insecure because he knows he's a protected fraud and self confessed coward. He feels great shame about himself because his ENTIRE career was a rigged sham. And enough people like me know it and he can't hide the ugly truth of being a coward who ducked Pac, Margarito. Cotto Williams Martinez, Thurman Spence Pac rematch, Vivian Harris. Then he rigged canelo cotto maidana twice, guerrero, ortiz, judah, oscar. His career was a total sham and his incredible jealousy of true greats and his massive insecurity prove it.

the worst part is how phloyd's example has totally ruined boxing in america and it's degenerated to the circus garbage some of you idiots paid to see last night.
