Comments Thread For: Logan Paul: I Believe Floyd's Washed Up, He's Frail, His Time Has Passed

MIAMI BEACH, Florida - Logan Paul expects Floyd Mayweather to do things Sunday night that he hasn't seen in a boxing ring. Paul also feels he'll be able to adjust to the masterful Mayweather's maneuvers because he has enhanced his boxing IQ and developed a better feel for the sport over the past year. The huge underdog admits his eight-round exhibition with Mayweather "makes no f------ sense," but he is confident that he is as prepared as possible for this enormous step up in class.

He should just march forward and swing for the hills. Nothing will work because he's not good enough but I'd try the monster approach and see if he can break Floyd just by the wild brute force of a 190lb 6'3 guy.

I believe Paul is a prime example of the Dunning-Kruger effect: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunnin...3Kruger_effect.
It is related to the cognitive bias of illusory superiority and comes from people's inability to recognize their lack of ability. Without the self-awareness of metacognition, people cannot objectively evaluate their level of competence. Google McArthur, "But I wore the juice" Wheeler for more.

Totally agree lol. Its a bit crazy that floyd is fighting a heavyweight but floyd is very skilled so not sure if that will matter. It is going to be interesting.

Mayweather isn’t fighting a heavyweight because the guy isn’t a professional boxer.

Hes fighting some loser who weighs 200 pounds.

This fight won’t be interesting, don’t worry.

100% , he has no advantages skills wise, but he has all the advantages when it comes to physicality. He should bullrush Floyd and see if he can catch him with something. Even if he doesn't win, he may be able to embarass Floyd by having some success or maybe even causing a quick scare like Mosley did against Floyd.

If Paul bull rushes Mayweather, he will get knocked unconscious in 10 seconds.

He can’t catch Mayweather with anything or have any success at all.

He definitely won’t have a moment like Shane Mosley did against Mayweather since Mosley is arguably the most talented boxer of his generation and Logan Paul is a content creator.

I can’t believe we’re having discussions like this on a boxing website. I would expect this from the comments section of Logan Paul’s YouTube page.

This is his only chance right here. Haymakers and crazy amounts of punches hoping one lands. If he tries boxing with Floyd its gonna look ******. Size matters when your equally talented as the little guy. He isnt.
