      might be dangerous to fighters. I think they shortened it to 12 because fighters take a lt of punishment if the bout went past 12 rnds.

        sure, but why did they settle on an even number of 12?!?!? do they have studies that show 12 was better than 13 or 11???

        i just think its BS that they went from a good odd number to an even number...

          An odd number of rounds will not lessen the draw decisions. Even if the limit is 13 rounds, the current scoring system provides plenty of opportunities for draws. Rounds can be scored a draw with a 10-10 score and knockdowns and deductions can also negate the odd number of rounds.
