There appears to be a rift growing in Manny Pacquiao's team. Trainer Freddie Roach has a beef with Pacquiao's advisor Mike Koncz. WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto has been training for the November 14 fight with Pacquiao for the last few weeks. Pacquiao has not started his camp and Roach has no idea when Pacquiao will begin his camp and where the camp will take place. Roach blames Koncz for the lack of communication. He is also upset over some recent comments made by Koncz, where he said Roach was "just a trainer." [details]

Well, these are certainly problems Pac and friends are going to want to figure out before Pac gets in the ring with the biggest hardest hitting opponent he has ever faced.....and figure them out in a hurry. -

Sources closer to the situation have confirmed to me that the wheels are slowly but surely falling off. Roach continues to be adamant that Pac wants to train in the Philipines.Comment

Why don't you do the same? Heh? Team Pac, Jacal, Koncz, do not seem to understand the situation here. Roach cannot even reach his fighter for months at a time. Is that normal? Especially when Pacquiao will be going against somebody like Cotto? Pacquiao has every right to do what he wants with his life. It's his prerogative. Roach is simply looking out for Pacquiao's career. Roach is not asking Pacquiao to stop his other activities outside of boxing but simply to get down to business with a match of this magnitude. And if he thinks talking to some media outlets will to get his message to Pacquiao--so be it. Because it's apparent, Koncz, in particular, and some members from Team Pacquiao who supposedly cannot speak English (in a recent Freddie interview, 1) when Roach tried to call in, are keeping him from contacting Pacquiao.

A team is not a team when members start scrambling
I hope their team get their heads together and act as a team coz when things get out of hand and an instigator just fuels the incident it just gets worse. They need a level headed person to get everyone to act as one not a leech to start the team to go down hill. Shoot the person who started this all...
