lol What the **** @ Rocky actually being active and accurate with hard combination's? That was an amazing performance.

All I remember about Rocky's early career is him getting devastating knockouts, and the Antonio "Chelo" Diaz fight. That Diaz fight pretty much sums how Rocky fights to this day. He loses early and comes on late.

He came back against Jorge Barrios to ruin his mouth and face after losing early, he started to turn it on against Chris John, but wasn't able to follow up after hurting John after losing early.

Someone needs to stick a caddle prod to this kids ass to get him to throw, cause when he does/or did, he was strong, sharp, accurate, and quick. I'm still shocked I just saw Juarez throw like 3 and 4 punches together

It makes no sense, he's either feeling his opponents power, he's trying to conserve energy, or he's just gun shy and doesn't want to get behind on points. But that happens anyway. Regardless, that Pires fight was amazing. ESPN classic always digs out these gems every now and than.

Rocky got outworked by Soto, outworked by MAB once, outboxed a 2nd time, str8 schooled by JMM, and outworked by John. Dude never lets his hands go when he should. He's slow wit his hands, so even when he does exchange he gets the short end a lot. He used to have a good body attack, but that's disappeared too. Rocky's just a journeyman now. He can make for good fights, but I doubt he got the tools to win a title at this point. He's just become a 1 punch plodder.

That's why the first thing I thought was, he was gettin out muscled cause he moved up in weight. But the John fight was at 125, Rocky's strongest weight.

The intriguing thing about this Pires fight though, is that Jason had a set of hands too, he was fast and had crazy reach. Juarez was still able to find his openings. But at the same time, as fast and crisp as Pires was..he didn't have much sting in his shots. But either did Chelo Diaz, and Juarez got wayyyy behind in that fight too. I don't know. I think if Juarez didn't get so many gifts, he would have been forced to reevaluate his game plan. Either way it's too late in his career now, I was just shocked to see him throw more than 1 or 2 punches consistently.
