  • Teo been knocked out A LOT in sparring

Number 1, I'm a fan of Teofimo so this isn't a hater thread.

Number 2, I'm telling you right now that a lot of the time sparring matters. Any boxers that respond to this and say it doesn't you know you been on the bad end of a lot of sessions and you know it so don't try and fluff it up. The only time it doesn't matter is when it's in your own gym with your gym mates. When you spar guys outside of your gym, you raise the banner and it's war, always war.

I've gone with pro's and champs to other gyms where they're getting paid and us amatuers are sparring too. You lose at another gym, it's a big fcuking deal. So yes, sparring ALWAYS MATTERS OUTSIDE OF YOUR GYM. The only people that say it doesn't matter in the pro's are fighters that don't want their value or stock hurt. When you get stopped or knocked in another gym or against a guy from another gym, thats a VERY BIG DEAL. With that said --->

Teofimo been stopped a lot in sparring.

These sessions were about 2 years ago, not 8 as some might say. Benevidez is quoted in the below video.

The clip of Teofimo getting dropped in this video is not Jose Valenzuela, its Figueroa Bocachica

Jose Valenzuela gives details. He said it happened directly before he turned pro which was late 2018.

Hearing that Rolly and Barrios also stopped Teofimo in sparring too. I saw a session with Teo and Rolly and Rolly was getting worked so I don't know how true that is. There is a Tank sparring session where at the end of the clip it looks like Teo is about to get knocked out. He gets really rocked then the video cuts out and I've seen that video a lot.

Haney talking about how he never been stopped or quit in sparring and how he tuned up Teofimo and called them out on lies about the sesh.

I like Teo, but getting hurt a lot in sparring says a lot to me. Curious to see how his career path is directed. He's talking a big game, but we'll see what happens.

The first video you posted was him getting dropped then proceeding to beat Bocachica up the rest of sparring until he suplexed him LOL

Teo is a mentally weak fighter. All I needed to see was that tall japanese fisherman give him a rough fight and then he said "no more tall fighters". LOL.

No he didn't. He landed some punches, but far from beating him up. Look at 0:42 - 1:09 Teo is getting rocked to the point he doesn't do anything until close to the end of the round. Left hook, right hand, another left hook, left uppercut, two jabs, right hand, jabs, body shots. You want me to rip it and slow it down or somehting? I can have that for you quick, let me know.

He was punching after the bell so he got suplexed, what are you going to do. Teo gets dirty in sparring, tried that with Tank too then Tank started rocking him. And Teo's legs went so limp when he got dropped it looks like he broke his leg.

Tank would beat the piss outta TEO. Tank would get on the inside of TEO and drop bombs on him. TEO would wilt.

I coulda sworn I saw an interview with teo and he was crying on camera talking about his relationship with his pops and how he got depressed or something.

          tank would whoop him.

IMO you can’t really count sparring as one fighter might be a month and a half into their training camp while the might be 2 weeks in. Plus sometimes you might be sparring multiple people during the day. It’s too many variables.

This...and if you aren't ready/prepared, anyone can look bad in sparring. If you're out of shape and going multiple rounds, you will get worked over. Look at Floyd vs that Paul Spadafora guy

Not a big deal. It can happen with unknown fighters. The guys good but I see he’s deficient in speed and is flat footed. He obviously has power but that can be deleted by great boxing skills.

Obviously walking in off the street after a vacation is different then when you're training. These are all scheduled sessions. His Dad is very proactive in guiding his sons schedule.

You never spar at different times throughout the day, round robins, etc are all done at once. I've been in championship camps.

                    Exactly great points.

Paul Spadafora schooled and beat the shht out of Floyd mayweather in sparring back in the day. Thing was Paul was three weeks out of a fight and was primed up and conditioned and Floyd had just entered camp.

Fact is who gives a *** about sparring and who got the better of who. Fact is if they fought now in a real live fight. Teofimo is handling that dude.
