Manny Pacquiao is eager to change his current status as former eight-division champion, hoping for an upgrade before he enters the ring for his next fight. As previously documented by the media in his native Philippines, the legendary Filipino southpaw has begun the process of having his welterweight title reign reinstated. The World Boxing Association (WBA) removed him as its "Super" welterweight champion earlier this year, passing along that status to Yordenis Ugas--its previous "World" champion at the weight--while assigning Pacquiao the "Champion in Recess" tag.

You could never count Manny out. Wouldn’t be surprised if he manages to pull it off even at his age. Looking forward to this one. Hopefully they build it up to a solid card.

Counting 48 out in this one big time. As I did during the Horn fight, JMM fights and the rest. Would be a great present to boxing to see Spence get a highlight reel KO here. 48 could be the B side of KO of the decade 2 decades in a row! Outstanding!

Knowing Manny if he beats Spence he might want to go for the last remaining belt. But I hope not. This fight was announced so there’s nothing to do but get hyped and hope for the best. I think Pacquiao’s got a good chance of winning because he’s an all time great who can still compete at this level. I just hope that he calls it a day after this fight.

I honestly believe that stylistically Spence is a much easier opponent for him than Crawford would be. Crawford is way too dangerous for Pac at this stage.

Completely agree. Spence is good, but he's not as versatile as a Crawford. Crawford can switch stances on you and is a slicker boxer imo. Spence is definitely elite, but he may not be as quick tricky as Crawford. Still going to be a tough fight for Pacquiao and Spence as well.
