I can only assume you're referring to some of us taking Pacquiao's wins against De la Hoya and Hatton with a grain of salt- impressive as they were.
The fact is, though, it's not a misconception to admit Oscar was weight drained and is much too old to bounce down a division. The Hatton victory was much better, but really only proves Manny can swing at junior welterweight.
Cotto is a legit 147 pound fighter and that's also a fact- he was kingpin for several years at the weight. While the fight being at a catchweight does destroy some legitimacy of Pacquiao's accomplishment at 147- which is why he should've just taken the fight there- it'll get credit.
That said, I think Cotto can do it.Comment

The better question is will Pacquiao fans make Miguel Cotto out to be some kind of an ATG p4p monster when they bring up Pac's resume after the way they ****-talked and dissmissed Cotto as a formidable opponent.Comment
