Subriel Matias is the best grinder in the game

With wins over Jukembayev, Hawkins and Dadashev (RIP) he's also very overlooked. I'm wondering if he was still dealing with the death of Dadashev when he lost to Ananyan or if he completely overlooked him. That guy will pick up a title.

I agree he’s been overlooked for a while and the guy is a very scary dude he’s a hard man that’s just doesn’t stop.

And there’s something to say about his power he literally makes guys not want anymore he hurts them physically and mentally. Matias is a a different kind of fighter he’s a Brutal savage.

I think both things were factors in his loss to Ananyan. Wasn't like he lost wide on the cards either. Was a close fight I recall that could have gone either way leaving it to the judges.

He is very fun to watch though.. Usually starts slow looking kind of bad at first then just keeps exponentially ramping up the pace until his opponent is drowning. Interesting technique and sometimes his shots don't look that powerful but you know they are, especially an accumulation of them.
