I’d like to see Russell Vs. Matias that be a good one!

That would be a step back for Matias makes no sense. He’s knocking on the door of a title shot with the Ponce v Rinston winner.

If Matias improved on his jab and defence, he could be world champion, no doubt! He can take it and dish it out! Just brutal !

His short punches really are lethal. You can sustain permanent damage going toe-to-toe with him as sadly as one man discovered a few fights back. Anyone who quits during a fight after taking too much punishment from him may be saving their own life or irreversible damage. He is the closest thing to Trinidad I've seen, ever. More with cumulative than single punch power, but similarities.

You’ve beat me to it bro I was thinking how much physically face wise he reminds me of a young Tito and he has that never say die attitude just like him too.

And you nailed it guys seem to never come out the same after facing Matias he’s a different kind of animal he will do permanent damage and people are seeing that now.

He is the closest thing to the next Trinidad in a long time.

Might be a step back but would be more realistic for Russell instead of calling Broner out which is less likely for Broner to take that kind of risk, I see Matias as the kind to not shy away from anyone, the fans would definitely win there!

As a Matias supporter it makes zero sense Russell does nothing for him, now maybe if he picks up a title too then yes of course but right now I’m sure Matias and his people are not looking at taking steps back especially after beating undefeated highly touted guys In Dadashev, Jukembayev and even Hawkins.

Now Jukembayev vs Russell would be a good fight.

Matias is a big puncher but definitely a lot of holes in his game. Taylor, Prograis and Ramirez all have great chins, Taylor and Prograis especially - I see all 3 of them beating Matias.
Don't be so sure about them beating Matias, they maybe better boxers but Matias has the all powerful equalizer. Sooner or later he will catch his opponents, and once he's got them hurt he doesn't let them off the hook.

I agree with that assessment 100%, Skillz12, he's going forward with his career, not backward. Title eliminator, title, and then title defenses, hopefully many of them.
