youre one of two things...1 a hopeless bud supporter 2 an unabashed pbc hater that will blame them for anything wrong in boxing and they can do no good.....some are a mixture of both
that being said if spence/bud were to fight bud could def win......but the bottom line is this......when it comes to the relationship between promoters and fighters...there is no "loyalty"....money/fights/legacy talk....so spare me the "buds loyal to bob because bob built him into a star and recognizable name"....bob did that to others and they left to pursue bigger dreams......fighters are only loyal to guys that make them happy
bob is great to a degree...hes def good at taking a prospect, in buds case even an under the radar one, and making them a household name.......but bob lacks vision just like he did with floyd....bob doesnt GAF about his fighters..he likes subservient yes men that do what their told....they are pawns to him....you wont ever see bob lose a few nickels to make a fighter bigger and better.....bob doesnt like financial losses even if its a risk that will pay off for the fighter and make bucks down the road
in buds case....bud saw the writing on the wall awhile ago...and he liked what he read.........bud is more than content sitting back and taking cherries while waiting for the one big one(spence/bud..or if someone elses emerges from spence shadow or pac)...he knew that would be the case and he was ok with it
bud tries to fool you...with his lil videos or whatever...about how hes unhappy...or wants this fight or wants to fight that guy.....its all a game hes playing to make it look like he cares or wants fights....proof is in the pudding...actions speak louder than words right? he re-signed knowing full well what was happening and going to happen...he knew the division landscape........he also knew how it was going to play out.....
bud knew that it was going to be tough to get pbc guys in the ring...either because arum couldnt afford to pay them or haymon wasnt willing(if you believe haymon doesnt pbc guys fighting bud then realize that its the same game arum would play if roles were reversed and bud is aware of this...so he knew the deal)....this is ALL on bud....you can only blame the promoters so much...and i dont like arum very much at all...so u can see how far im going blaming this on a fighter that i actually do like and think is very good....
bud knows theres a cold war between arum and others...these promoters dont want to work together unless they have to...unless its a bud/spence big fight..or a fury/wilder big fight.....bud also knows if he were with haymon and bob had haymons roster bob would be freezing bud out from fighting the pbc guys until it was big fight/cashout time......he fully understands whats going on yet he plays it up in front of cameras and press like hes disappointed.....he chose this life and does what so many do....point fingers and express disappointment....at EVERYTHING but themselves....
buds contract is up in october??? thats what i think i read....maybe this time bud smartens up? ehhh...maybe....but at this point is it too late? would anyone really care?
remember the line...think about it....how true it is...how much it makes sense...."fighters are only loyal to promoters/managers that make them happy"....bud will have been with arum through his 34th birthday.....it makes sense to conclude that bud has been happy....he only acts like he isnt sometimes because he knows thats what the public wants/needs to see...because his resume/career leaves something to be desired
NO EXCUSES
