I remembered when Whyte said “Who” when they spoke about him fighting Usyk. How times have changed, now he is trying to downplay Usyk so that he can get the opportunity.
At the end of the day Usyk is a mandatory challenger and would get his chance at the belt, regardless of who the champ is.Comment

I don’t agree, Whyte has been one of the few to be active and fight for fighting sake ( just look at the POV fight he didn’t have to take )
no no one at heavy is worrying about Usyk.Comment

Whyte turned downworld title fight, why would he care about Eliminator. He's also Fought 3 x 40+ year olds in a row. And looked awful doing it. Including getting decapitatedComment

Power means nothing when you are a defensive elite fighter. Usyk will cause all kinds of issues. He is faster, has better footwork and is defensively better. Usyk is no Ruiz. AJ can’t run like he did from Ruiz because Usyk can and will catch him. I also see most HWs fading down the stretch because Usyk has a larger gas tank than the vast majority of them.
the question will be if he gets clipped by AJ what then?
This is my point right here. Another poster asked how I'm basing AJ's performance off a fight against a 39 year old fighter. I'm using that fight instead of the Ruiz 2 fight because of the progression I've seen in those 2 fights. I agree he will be more prone to tiring down the stretch but if he uses the same style against Usyk that he did against Pulev I believe he will be successful. At some point in a fight everybody gets hit. How will Usyk handle the power is the unknown IMO. If I'm being honest I wouldnt mind seeing Usyk win as I'm not an AJ superfan or anything I just dont see that happening.Comment

Yeah, he didn't HAVE to fight Povetkin who is *jesus christ, i just looked* FORTY ONE YEARS OLD. Oh, and he got decapitated. Or are we talking about his barnburner with Marius Wach (Who is also 41. That must be the new 30 for Matchroom opponents)
Nobody at heavyweight is worrying about Whyte.Comment
