Who is Pilatti and why does he hate Canelo?

ESPN finally moved Canelo to the top spot in the pound-4-pound list.

I'm not surprised though that Atlas and Ward kept Crawford at #1. As I believe Max Kellerman did too, though he's not on this list below.

Pilatti, whoever that is, moved Canelo up on his list but still has him at #4. What? Who is this guy and what does he have against Canelo?

    How their writers voted

    He doesn’t hate Canelo.

He just favors undefeated and dominant champions over Mr. Skin of His Teeth.

Which is exactly what you’re supposed to do on a p4p list.

      ESPN’s Mexico side.

The reason he dislikes Canelo so much is because he overrates other guys that Canelo hasn't fought. He praises 'eye test'.

Maybe he doesn’t dislike Canelo at all and just doesn’t agree with you.

A dumbass is what he is.

Canelo has done way more than Inoue.

No he hasn’t and resume isn’t the only criteria

First of all, Inoue is a three division champion, who’s currently the lineal and unified bantamweight champion.

He won his first title in his sixth professional fight and has fought in 15 consecutive title fights, all of them dominant wins.

Canelo has lost and has multiple fights that could have gone the other way.

Thats a huge part of the p4p rankings.

Canelo only has two opponents where the fights were super close.

When it comes to boxing skills proven against world class opposition he smokes Inoue.

There's no logical justification for having Inoue #1 and Canelo #4 like this idiot Pilatti does.

                Only two?

He had a loss and two draws on his record.

                That’s three.

Lara and GGG 2 were highly controversial wins.

                Thats five.

There are a few more as well that some people had Canelo losing. Trout, Jacobs, Cotto (I thought he beat Cotto wide but I see it mentioned.)

Lara and Golovkin are the only two opponents where the fights were so close that one might debate the winner.

The loss came against Floyd and there's zero doubt about who won that one.

Inoue doesn’t have any close fights and was never blown out in the ring like Canelo was.
