I think Teofimo will travel the path of Danny Garcia. Get a belt then cherry pick. He will milk that Lomachenko win as far as he could.

"The 23-year-old knew of a mandatory title defense looming overhead, but still hoped to land a bigger fight against fellow divisional young guns Gervonta Davis (24-0, 23KOs), WBC titlist Devin Haney (25-0, 15KOs) and Ryan Garcia (21-0, 18KOs)."
I'm a fan of this kid, but uh, NO! That's not what happened at all! He said his plan was fighting Kambosos, and then moving up to 140!
Lopez has no interest in Davis, eager to make a splash at junior welterweight Teofimo Lopez scoffs at the idea of a fight with Gervonta Davis and intends to move up to compete at 140 lbs. Tune in to Max on Boxing Friday at 5PM on ESPN2.

so, the correct process to fight you is... write up a contract and pop it in the mail ?
not... contact your manager to gauge interest and schedule meetings/negotiations ?
and... if you are the top dog in your division, shouldn't you be the one mailing out the contracts ?
I like Teo... fantastic fighter... but he sure does say some pretty dumb things
he yung doe
Lopez/Haney would be dope

Lopez aint scared of Lomachenko... or anyone else for that matter
I bet his manager/trainer advised him to move on from Loma
NEVER rematch a thinking fighter
that fight was VERY close, there was little/nothing in it... and Teo is well-aware of that fact, regardless as to what he says publicly about the fight
they played their cards well before/after that fight

Trying to justify his junk fight. Says he has all the belts -- not quite. Idon't have a problem with him taking a mandatory, just that he shouldn't be lying and saying it was the only fight out there. Haney would have been a better fight for the division in terms of clearing up the undisputed angle.
Also, don't believe a word when he says he doesn't look at who he's facing in terms of watching film. Right.
Finally, he keeps saying he's looking through him. Not quite sure what that means. Sounds a lot like you're looking past him.Comment

Yes he is. Because he knows what happened. Which is that he got damn lucky to get out of that with a W because Loma threw away the first 6 rounds....

I actually found a video I like even better than mine, since NSB is so fixated on landed punches. This one even validates the draw I saw, despite the fact he undercounted punches for Lopez in the second half of the fight.
If Loma blows Nakatani out of the water (and I'm not sure he does), we know full well Lopez is running from that smoke.

he already fought Loma... and he now wants to fight Haney, who could be even better... so yea, he obviously aint scared... like some little kid
what I said, is far more likely... I bet his manager/trainer advised him to move on from Loma, because you NEVER rematch a thinking fighter... that is a "given" in boxing
Manny Pacquiao is much better than Teo... and look what happened to him when he pushed his luck with Marquez... and the same thing happened to Wilder with Fury
I actually think that fight was a lot closer than most people seem to think/admit
Team Lomachenko were fkn morons for not insisting on a rematch clause, wtf?Comment

Haney is not a better fighter than Lomachenko. For one main reason: Haney doesn't take risks. He's a risk averse fighter.

Teo's also faster than Haney.
I frankly think that's a terrible fight to have right now. I would rather see Davis vs. Haney - sort out who gets Floyd's love - THEN match the winner against Teo.Comment
