Numbers don’t lie and his opposition’s record says otherwise. Also about the rematch...which is it? So we complain when all these rematches lock down divisions and clamor endlessly yet then we complain when we want a rematch because the guy we don’t like wins. You can’t have it both ways. In addition, Lopez has 0 to do with the rematch. Our memories fail us. Remember Bob trashing Hearn on all his rematch clauses before making the Lopez Loma fight? Well he didn’t include one because then he’d be a hypocrite.

If all you care about is numeric records, then Jeff Horn was an ATG when he beat Manny and Shawn Porter beat an ATG in Sebastian Formella. Oh, and Fury beat an ATG in Deontay Wilder. Right?

No, I’m comparing numeric records that come from opponents combined records. Haney’s record is extremely padded based on opposition. If a “champion” (of the email variety) readily admits the toughest fight of his career is an upcoming, aged, past it former champion then you know there’s a problem. You know it and I know it. I get it if you like Haney, I get it if you dislike Lopez. But let’s not go pretending Haney is anywhere close to Lopez’s accomplishments or to state Lopez is ducking Haney. Based on what exactly? He just beat the PFP 1 or 2, HOF, multi divisional champion and soundly. Haney isn’t being “ducked.” I’d like to know what people are basing this on? It surely isn’t his opposition’s combined records hence the cabbie comment from Lopez.
and those are facts.Comment

OK, so answer the question.
By your logic Shawn Porter beat an ATG in Formella. Fury beat an ATG in Wilder. Hell, by your own logic, Spence is TWICE the fighter that #2 P4P Crawford is. Right?
Because here's the problem with numbers.
It gives a free pass to someone who fights debuting, green, untested prospects and doesn't acknowledge fighters who beat tough, grizzled veterans at the top of the skill factor.
Haney's win over Gamboa is a more significant win over Loma if you go by experience, because Gamboa has more pro experience than Loma. That's fact.
But when people like you dismiss Gamboa because of his losses, then credit Teo for his "numbers" - the guy has only fought one truly dangerous opponent. Loma - in a fight where the outcome was less about Teo and more about Loma not showing up.
In other words, Teo hasn't proven anything yet. If he drops 4 or more rounds to Kambosos, it will prove: numbers don't tell the truth.Comment
