With all due respect to Ennis, he has fought nobody...until he fights someone with a pulse, he beats none of the top welterweights.

We can't anoint a fighter on paper, that is done in the ring.

I hate to break it to some of the posters in this thread but Thurman, Porter & Garcia are not scrubs...only elite fighters have beaten them.

Boots reminds me on very prime Spence. Spence was also considered a welterweight killer, many fans here felt like he would be able to KO everybody. Obviously, that was not the case when he stepped up.

But if Boots stops Thurman, Porter, Danny, Spence, Crawford, at least one, than he is a monster.

I wouldn’t bet on any of the other guys against Ennis that’s for sure. I really hope he becomes mandatory to Spence. Guarentee Spence will drop that belt fast.

Julian bet money on it then when it happens I’m here! As I reflect back to the hen we had several top welterweights whom were considered great and Philadelphia also had a can’t miss fighter by the name Tyrone Butterfly Crawley, so what happened to him? My point exactly

LOL Thats fine because neither has crawford. Ennis has a KO win over lipinets. Ennis is also like a decade younger than crawford while crawford continues to fight no hopers.

And I agree with williams...Ennis beats crawford and thurman right now.

Well seeing as how everyone in front of him is busy and he's ranked 5th or 6th in the WBO. He can submit the paperwork to be designated the mandatory amd force the Crawford fight. Its a good fight so lets go. Fighters need to fight

Boots is more explosive than Spence. Even when Spence was getting stoppages, they were coming from accumulation of punches or him just breaking the opponent down. Ennis has that ability to put you out with one punch.

He needs to shore up his defense a bit but if his chin checks out? Yeah, I have a hard time seeing him getting beat.

Crawford finds a way to beat him, but I like his chances against most guys at Welterweight. Give him Ugas...that's a tough dude right there!

He's right. I think the concept of experience is a joke in boxing because sometimes it takes forever for these prospects to get a chance at the top fighters or even to consistently face the top prospects or contenders in their division. We see guys with 20..30+ fights just getting to fight top contenders when they could've beaten that guy at 10-0. In other sports..say tennis, the young players play their way in through qualifiers and get a chance to test what they're made of early against fellow top prospects, players in the top 100 and sometimes the elite if they keep winning. Sure they might lose but they actually get a shot to see these levels and know what they need to work on. And when they win? Maybe it causes irrational projections in what they can do going forward but at least you get to actually see them in there with the best. When Lubin lost boxing fans kept attributing it to lack of "experience" instead of maybe him either simply having a weak chin, just getting caught, or not being good enough to be at that level. How many more C fighters did he need to fight to be able to take that punch from an A fighter? Now it's like, Ennis isn't getting the chance to face off against top contenders or champions because it's high risk, low reward. All we have is our projections. **** experience. If he loses, he loses.
