Why do you think the topic of Ward fighting Canelo has been brought up so much? Ward has been retired for several years, what's the point?

Agree. Ward made it clear he wanted to walk away from the sport when he did. The guy seriously fears he will get permanently hurt in there. He never was a big fan friendly fighter so I'd be surprised if a network brings him back.

Canelo doesn't need another to fight another guy on the wrong side of 35. Plenty of guys his age to fight.

canelo would have had real problems adjusting to ward boxing/mma hybrid style. hes got flashy combos but ward would be hitting him with headbutts, elbows and low blows all night and if its an american ref he'd be getting away with it.

I still favor Ward but I'm willing to admit Canelo makes a good argument for himself.

I think Ward has a bigger bag of tricks. Simple as that. Most I'd call about equal except their array of skills.

hbo for some odd reason decided to bring him back when no one wanted him but BET and they had intentions of making him their next star. he proceeds to get a gift decision , cheat his way to a victory over one of their other stars, then suddenly retire leaving them with nothing lol. sweet revenge if it wasnt done in such a horrible manner
