No one else at HW in the top 10 with a bigger name, close to prime, that he has not beaten yet.
Fury-Wilder are tied up.
He already KO'ed Whyte.
Avenged his loss to Ruiz.
Already beat Parker.
KO'ed Povetkin.
Beating Usyk is better than beating Hunter, or Rivas at this point.
Ortiz only 2 losses was to Wilder, so I guess he could make it a "statement" fight that he is the second fighter to beat Ortiz and maybe KO him quicker. Or get KO'ed by him. Who knows.
Usyk, Ortiz, Ruiz III, and Whyte II are all options. But he should fight a new name, like Usyk or Ortiz. No one would be mad at him fighting Ortiz. And i'm not sure if AJ-Ruiz III is something fans are asking for, I could be wrong.
AJ-Usyk is the most intriguing, just to see if Usyk can beat an actual top HW. But Ortiz is more "dangerous" power-wise.Comment

Eddie Hearns: "We want Undisputed!"
Also Eddie Hearns: "AJ will vacate a belt for 'business reasons'!"
I think AJ and Hearns used the idea of a Fury fight, knowing it would fail because of the arbitration, so they could avoid Usyk.Comment

It's a lot going on with that fight. I say it's 90% the fight will happen but that depends a lot on the economics. They can have fans but not full capacity. Does AJ want to take another pay cut like he did for Pulev or is it much more profitable to fight here & drop that belt. Also depends on if Eddie is willing to take a loss to pay AJ his full purse in order for AJ to extend his deal with Matchroom. How much money does Usyk want is another issue. If it goes to purse bid & they lose I don't see the fight happening.
So he’ll drop the belt to protect the undisputed fight...then not have an undisputed fight because he vacated one of the belts.
Joshua/Fury turns from a mega fight to a domestic mega fight of its not undisputed. Fury has an American fan base, Joshua doesn’t.
plus, didn’t they have fans for Pulev? But they can’t for Usyk?Comment
