Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence will have a rehydration clause

As Spence is holding the IBF belt and this is not a unification fight as the WBA gave Pac’s belt to Ugas, the fight will have an automatic rehydration clause. Huge win for Manny’s side.

Same conditions for any of Errol's defenses, he has defended IBF title 4 or so times I think.

Pac is the WBA "champ in recess". There's only 1 other champion in recess going around for the WBA(Charr at Heavyweight). I'm sure that's good enough to make it a unification bout so that Spence can skip the same day weigh in.

It's a unification. Manny was never stripped. WBA played it safe by designating him as "champion in recess". Check Boxrec. The Spence-Pac fight is for 3 belts (WBC, WBA, and IBF)

What will happen to the WBA Super Belt that they gave ugas? They can't just take it away or demote him as Jamal James already has the WBA regular belt

Oh they can. Ugas never fought for the super belt. Ugas didn't defend it. If Ugas had a fight lined up and scheduled, the belt would've stayed with him. And the WBA would've made sure of it. Instead of fighting an opponent, Ugas was dancing and celebrating for an email belt that he didn't even fight for. Shame really.

The status of the super belt is unclear. According to Boxrec, they took the belt away from Ugas. But it was not returned back to Pac. But one thing's clear is that it's up for grabs whoever wins between Pac and Spence.

The IBF rehydration clauses only apply for IBF title fights

This is a unified title fight. Not sure where you got the idea that only unification fights are exempt

It is a unified bout since Spence has two belts. So it doesn't matter if Pacquiao in the champion in recess or is reinstated as the super WBA champion.

Spence didn't have a rehydration clause vs DSG, and he didn't have any titles of his own.
