another good one from Sky was their poll to vote for the top 5 heavyweight of all time. AJ was included in the 5 lol.
    BBC sport did it too.

He’s the first Briton to claim the WBO, WBA, IBF and WBC titles simultaneously since the four-belt era officially began in 2004.

Or should we create a new belt so they can’t?

Ring Mag say it best https://www.ringtv.com/531581-lennox...hampion-world/
They damn well might one day.

Peter Maher and Tom Sharkey both owned heavyweight championships that Jim Jeffries picked up. You won't see them listed as former champions on CBZ, Here, Wiki, or any other highly promoted media list of champions because historians have agreed to nullify their reigns like 100 years after the fact. Bob Fitzsimmons in reality won the HW title twice. We only recognize one.

        And

A lot of the time when people talk about Wlad, especially in the media, they conflate his WBO ownership with the 07 acknowledgement and pretend Wlad had a major title in 2000-06

So they damn well very well might! which is ****ty

One last thing. On undisputed lists they start with the NSYAC and NBA, Dempsey. The IBU exists, it's a major title at the time, plenty of champions and title fights happened because men made their name in the Euro ranks. Carpentier and Primo and **** are IBU fighters. Speaking of Primo, he's the first actual undisputed of the sanctioned era.

And lineal was never the only title. The only man during the lineal era to fight and beat all other claimants was Jeffries unless you include the colorline and see the colored title as a claim, then, lineal was never the only title.

So, yeah, what happened does not matter at all. How Ring and TBRB and IBRO and CBZ decide to organize history is all that seems to matter. Peter Maher won his title in a fight, it was given to him by Corbett, lost to Fitzs who lost it to Sharkey who lost it to Jeffries. That **** happened, none of the above recognize Peter or Tom because then they can't pretend like lineal was a single belt, single champion, system.

Cong**** to Josh Taylor tho -
But your not the first put some respect on the Hall of Fame’Er.
That's because Lewis is Canadian. Holding dual British and Canadian citizenship, Lewis represented Canada as an amateur at the 1988 Summer Olympics, winning a gold medal.
