Yeah I agree. Berto is the perfect fight for Shane. Very winnable fight, he will look good fighting Berto and he gets to unify the belts. I'm just not sure Berto's promoters want him stepping up just yet. However if Berto could sneak a win then it would do wonders for his career which is falling away after he got beat by an old man(unofficially)

Then if Shane has the belts, is ranked number 1 then surely he can get a big fight. If he still doesn't then boxing is in a worse state than I thought.

After seeing the Pac vs Hamed power poll I think pacfans are deluded beyond all sense of reality. I'm not sure they'll jump ship but I guarentee there will be 4 million excuses if Cotto wins.

i have a feeling pac will win this and EVERYONE is gonna hype him up against mayweather and then pac will fall on his face against mayweather.

i know it's a 50/50 fight but for some reason i'm not worried pac will lose against cotto.

If anyone's playing head games without saying much, it's Cotto.

Regardless of what Roach has said in the past about Pac taking Cotto out, it's all head games. But I truly believe he's genuinely worried this time around. The reports coming out of Cotto's camp about him being in the best shape of his career according to his conditioning coach has gotta be worrying Freddie as that is their main focus on how to stop Cotto. He's already letting the cat out the bag on how Cotto can handle speed fighters and how resilient he is, that's more of a confidence booster more than playing head games on the part of Freddie Roach. Those are usually things you keep within the camp.
