I'm a huge Mayweather fan but comparing him to what Duran and Leonard has done/accomplished, is kind of irrelevant. Mayweather could have had the legacy of those guys but like every elite athlete, became money oriented. I think he's partially concerned about his resume but more so focuses on being Money Mayweather.
Floyd should do a Ray Leonard

Leonard was bigger than Floyd even Hatton weighed more than Floyd on the night ,, 1) Floyd only fights welters because its a more public appealing weight class , 2) he only went up to fight ODH not to make a WW statement , 3) he could make Jnr Welter no problems at all only its more work that he has no real reason to do it for , for now , that is untill he meets Manny then you will see Floyd make 140 , like Roach and Hattons trainer said Floyd is a little guy that is not a true WW , if he really wanted to he could probably make 135 again and you want him to fight middleweights lol , just name the fighter that weighs withing 2-4 pounds of Floyd in the ring that can beat him .Comment

He should follow in the footstep of the "great" Leonard.
He should fight JMM in a brawl. Lose on purpose. Get an rematch and clown on JMM and claim you are a great WW.
Leonard started at WW and Duran started at 120. Yet Leonard was beaten up by a much smaller fighter
But the difference is Floyd will never lose to a LW and is not ****** as Leonard.
Floyds boxing skills and boxing brain > Leonards boxing skills and boxing brain
I guess Ali lost to Spinks on purpose to?
Leonard's ball >Mayweather's balls.
Marquez is not Duran, Marquez came from Featherweight not Lightweight.Last edited by Dynamite Kid; 09-02-2009, 08:24 AM.Comment

Good points i to dont think Leonard could beatI agreed. Floyd would never get beaten UP and bruised by a LW.
Leonard started at 147. Beating Hagler at 160. His 3rd weight class. Floyd started at 130 and beat Oscar at 154. his 5th weight classes.
See the difference. Floyd moved up 24 pounds. Leonard moved up 13 pounds.
WOW
Genaro Hernandez, Jose Luis Castillo, Arturo Gatti, Zab Judah, Carlos Manuel Baldomir, Oscar De La Hoya, particularly Gatti, Baldomir
