You’re not wrong. I was a big Mikey fan before his “hiatus”, but he’s been a part time fighter since coming back. At first he captured some hearts and minds willing to step right up to Errol Spence, but then he set boxing back by being so uncompetitive in reality. He’s a likeable guy, but I don’t think he deserves a big fight as things stand. But that doesn’t mean there’s not good value there for Taylor to fight him being prize fighting and all. Mikey would have to really beat Taylor decisively for me to be retroactively more okay with it in the end. If Mikey got the fight and somehow skated to a controversial win, ugh. I’m not saying Mikey couldn’t win, he has skill. Even if I like a fighter I don’t when them to get better treatment, even if thats just a part of boxing.
