What's next for Jose Ramirez?

I think they gotta keep him up there pretty high. Top 3 or better. More importantly in the indie rankings I don't think you can move JCR from the #2 spot or I guess the #1 spot now that Josh is probably gonna be The Champ for the indie rankings with that distinction.
I will be interested to see where the sanctioning bodies rank Ramirez after this. He might be able to work himself into an eliminator rather quickly and potentially get a shot at a vacant belt next year if Taylor moves up. As far as TR goes, he could potentially find himself in a rematch with Zepeda or a fight with Arnold Barboza
Zepeda would probably be a good rematch to take next time out. I think that fight with Ivan mighta taken something from Zepeda so JCR might wanna get that rematch while he can & it probably is a lil easier this time around.Comment

What's the challenge in that? You got to dare to be great. Hagler beat a bunch of nobodies, so did Calzaghe and Hopkins. Divisions are transient, why slum around a dead division when you can move up and be great?
Imagine if Floyd stayed at 135 or 140 his entire career? Boooring!

I've been a fan of Jose Ramirez for many years. One loss wont make me give up on a fighter. Give the guy credit for not quitting.

I don't think Ramirez would hang with the all the sharks at 147, too many in Spence, Bud, Vergil, Boots. I think he should stay at 140 until his body tells him to move up.
If Taylor moves up he'd probably have his choice of fighting Catterall for the WBO title or a rematch with Zepeda for the WBC title. Prograis is the big fight at 140 I'd like to see as it would settle who the second best of this era is. Teo is another fight I'd love to see. Still other names for him to fight like Pedraza, Baranchyk, Easter Jr and of course Broner.Comment
