I mean seriously has there been a big name promoter who's failed more often than Bob has? The promoter who can't get the money for the big fight probably shouldn't be a fooking promoter. Either 1)you suck at being a guy who can raise money or 2)you suck at promoting your fighter so they aren't seen as big as the money they want to get or 3)you are overpaying your fighter so he won't leave & losing money on him. 1 if not more of these things are the problem here & it all starts with Bob.

I mean Bob and TR are the best to ever do it. They have a different philosophy where they pay relatively big money to amateurs that turn pro but then they get to a point where they don't want to spend over a certain limit for a fighter. It's kind of backwards from other companies.

LIS, it is obvious that Bob isn't risking losing any of his money on Bud anymore. Only way he will make a big fight is if the other promoter is responsible for the purse of the other fighter or if he gets a big site fee from the Middle East that covers the purses of both fighters.

Whatever, I don't think it will be too costly to make the Taylor fight so that's the one we should be hoping for Bud.

Eh. I mean I get what you are saying & its not like I'd even argue TR isn't successful long term or to a certain level of guy, but to me there is no one who sucks worse at making the big fight like TR does. I mean look at what they do when they get guys to the highest levels or in the biggest fight of their career. It feels VERY lackluster when Teo beat Loma or when Josh just beat JCR & those are damn near moments you wanna go full Don King with Teo & Josh & have them enter the post-fight presser with a crown on & the whole garb Tyson was in back in the day when he became the king of the HW's. Obviously thats a lil overblown on what would wanna do for those guys, but the moment felt smaller than it should of is my point. And it always does with TR with situations like this. For a sport where promotion is a so-called thing it just seems like a failure to me not to build up things better on the Bob/TR end I guess is what I'm really saying in these sorta moments. Getting them there is a whole blueprint TR gots down, but once they get there is just don't seem to look & feel like it should look & feel.

But I agree with your take that Bob/TR is risk opposed to a degree most promoters are not & thats one of the problems here as I see it. I call them bean counter promoters. Even if there is a 80% chance a PPV will profit I don't think TR takes the swing unless there are some variables all setup that reduces the risk for them just a lil more & thats the difference between other promotions taking a profitable looking risk 8/10 times that TR won't take unless its a 10/10 situation. Hence just about all there biggest names went elsewhere for their biggest paydays.

And honestly fair play I suppose. Its not the biggest critique of TR to say they are risk opposed to a degree other promoters aren't, but at the end of the day as a fan I just wanna see the fooking fights so it gets old when this thing I know is gonna happens keeps happening & some other fans keep acting like there are all these other things going on vs what the common denominator is for many of these situations.
