If Manny is somehow able to pull it off

If Manny is somehow able to pull it off, the idiots will be saying:

-Spence wasn't the same after the car crash
-What kind of tests did Manny take doe
-Spence was exposed in the Porter fight

    What else?

Who cares? Jeff Horn is still Manny's daddy.

If Spence wins he will get no credit because Manny was old and on the verge of retirement. So, both sides who downplay the win are idiots. For me, I'd give Spence enough credit. Good win, but with the caveat that Manny is 42. Manny, a win over prime Spence vaults him way up on the ATG list.

All it would prove is WW division isn't as good as it used to be. How's a guy who was getting KTFO and dominated at WW 6-9 years ago, getting beat by a journeyman a few years ago, beating the best at age 42? Because the divisions just isn't as good. That's the only logical explanation, you aren't going to convince me Pacquiao improved.

If Spence wins he should get credit even if Manny is past it and at 42 years old. Spence would've beaten a guy he's supposed to beat so why wouldn't he get credit for that. If he wins, good, because he's supposed to win, he has everything on his side: Youth, size, reach, no ring rust etc. Having those, you should win and should get credit for. It ain't like Manny came out of retirement, Manny is still participating in the highest level so Spence should get credit as well, even if it isn't against a passed it Manny.

Pacquiao will have been out of the ring 2 years. That's basically a retirement especially at age 42.

On my birthday. If Manny pulls this off, he is LEGENDARY STATUS. I like this fight. It's not Spence/Crawford, but it's good. Manny will be very competitive. Credit to Spence for taking this fight. He has a lot to lose here.

Another excuse I hear coming is:

                -Manny didn't fight Crawford though
-Spence grew out of the WW division and was drained like all of manny's other opponents.

If Pacman pulls this off, wow. That would be truly extraordinary.

All those excuses would have some merit, but not as much as the haters will try to give them. Similarly, Manny fans will surely overyhype any performance or win from Manny as well, so it will even out.

I bet you have Manny fans who say that by beating Spence it will make him the GOAT. And I think you could make that argument but there will be a large contingent of those fans who won't want to hear anything other than that.
