Not sure if you’ve blocked the truth out of your mind because of your deep love for canelo but he tested positive for a banned substance leading into the rematch with ggg. Coincidentally it was the first time vada ever travelled to Mexico to test him and the furthest out from a fight he was ever tested as he was tested in February for a fight that was scheduled for 5 de Mayo weekend. As a result of him cheating, the fight was cancelled and canelo received a 5 month suspension.

Canelo popped for clen but he explained why.

His reasons are quite plausible given the situation in Mexico. It doesn't exonerate him but it does leave the door open to give him the benefit of the doubt that he wasn't deliberately trying to cheat.
