Miguel Cotto was slightly past peak but still very good, and he won titles after the Pacquiao fight so he wasn’t shot. As for the catchweight, Cotto agreed to it and he didn’t look drained to me in the fight.

Joshua Clottey was a consensus top-10 guy who gave Cotto all he could handle

Antonio Margarito was a consensus top 3-5 guy and the 150-lb catchweight helped Margarito more than it helped Manny

Shane Mosley was on the decline so I will give you that, however it was a big money fight and nobody fights killers in every fight

Juan Manuel Marquez was Manny’s most difficult matchup throughout his career so that can’t be considered a soft touch.

Tim Bradley was a consensus top-5 guy

Brandon Rios wasn’t great at 147, however he was a good opponent considering Manny was coming back from a brutal KO and a long layoff

Chris Algieri was a top-10 guy coming off a career-best win over Provodnikov

Floyd Mayweather, no description necessary

Jessie Vargas and Jeff Horn were top-10ish guys

Matthyse was a soft touch to regain confidence after the controversial loss to Horn
