Caleb Plant is the luckiest fighter in the world right now, he's gonna make a career high payday and he'll be able to ask for more than he's worth
He's boring, no power, has beaten nobody, nobody cares about him, yet the sports biggest cash cow has set his sights on him, and only him
just because he happens to have the last belt the P4P King needs to become undisputed
I’m thinking g of trying to open a taqueria in my corner of japan!Comment

so because bread thinks plant can cause canelo problems, that means I need to automatically agree? Maybe that’s the way you operate because you’re a simple minded moron, but not me. Just because I clown your cry baby ass for whining like a female every Saturday like clockwork in the mailbag doesn’t mean I agree with everything bread writes. Plant isn’t even a top 5 opponent fans would want to see canelo face. He’s just someone who holds a belt in the weakened 168 pound division where canelo has decided to campaign and ignore the more credible opponents at 160 and with benavidez out of the picture, it was a no brainer to fight these inferior euros and plant. Speaking of inferior euros, you still snorting coke off teenage dongs? You did say on here “that’s what us euros do”.Comment

Saunders and Plant have both beaten pretty much the same caliber of opponent.
Plant's best wins:
Reigning IBF Super Middleweight Champion Jose Uzcategui
Former IBF Super Middleweight Champion Caleb Truax
Saunders' best wins:
Former IBF Middleweight Champion David Lemieux
Reigning WBO Middleweight Champion Andy Lee
Both guys beat one reigning champion and one former champion.
I guess you could argue that Saunders has beaten some decent contenders like Ryder or Eubank, but both guys have a pretty thin resume if we're being honest. I don't think Plant is any more or any less deserving of the shot than Saunders was, and he certainly deserves it more than Yildirim or Fielding did.
Andy Lee was coming of giving undefeated Quillin all he had, he had also stopped Korobov.
Never rated Lemieux that high but the guy always had power to knockout anyone, only two dudes capable of beating him to the pulp were Golovkin and BJS, the Ryder, Eubank, Monroe and Akavov which gane Andrade a pretty decent fight were all legit wins. I'd rank Isufi right on the same level as Feigenbutz and Mike Lee.
IMHO all what Plant has on his record is Medina, Truax and Uzcategui, Truax was the equivalent of the Martin Murray who lost to Saunders, Medina was an ok win and that Uzcategui win was a good one, still not better than Eubank or Ryder imho. Uzcategui got outlcassed by Korobov, never rated that guy as a good fighter.
It's just my opinion but I do rate BJS as a fighter with much better experience than Plant.Comment

Truex was a complete bum even at his best. But he was a shot bum when he fought Plant. And Jose was nothing but decent, if you can even call him that. All he did was beat a shot Dirrell. Less than decent fighters beat Jose.
The resume of Saunders is vastly superior to Plant's. Plant's resume is grotesquely shocking, it's that bad.Comment
