Well Jones was far more experienced at the time (had been boxing since he was a young kid and was getting robbed in the Olympics while Hopkins was serving time) and Hopkins was in his 40s for the extremely close Taylor and Calzaghe fights, so you really have no point at all.

Roy also has a win over BHOP. Thats got to count for something. It does'nt make sense for BHOP not to take this fight unless he thinks he can't beat Roy. There's enough buzz for this fight to generate some decent cash fo both fighters. Hopkins obviously thinks there's a good chance he can't win. I like BHOP but I think he's kind of dodging Roy.

Most of boxing fans thinks RJJ is "shot".........why fight him?........it doesnt avenge his previous loss..............loss-loss situation for BHOP.................yes RJJ win over BHOP does count.........its not spectacular enough to be in the highlight reel..........but its a quality win over a future great................
