Comments Thread For: Jose Ramirez: Mentally, I Was Exhausted Going Into Postol Fight; I Wasn't Satisfied At All

LAS VEGAS - Jose Ramirez was an unfulfilled fighter when he left Las Vegas late last August. The unbeaten WBC/WBO 140-pound champion got past mandatory challenger Viktor Postol, yet Ramirez wasn't the least bit pleased with his performance. Ramirez realizes he is capable of much more than he showed versus Ukraine's Postol, who lost a 12-round majority decision to the 2012 U.S. Olympian on August 29 at MGM Grand Conference Center.

Excuses already? What about the Zapeda fight? Let's just call it as it is; if the opponent doesn't stand in front of you, you're not as effective.

He knows he's already lost this fight.
He looked exhausted and super nervous during yesterday's presser, esp. face off.

Of course he is gonna win he is Mexican. Uk fighters are too spoiled to win these types of battles, even the supposed tough guys. Just look at Saunders, supposed to tough and mean but he quit like a biiiiih. Expect the same here. Hyping yourself up doesn’t help you in the ring it only soothes your ego.

I don't think he won the Postol fight, but I'm not a judge. Same goes with Zepeda. Ramirez seems like a decent person and he has some decent wins. I just don't see him winning this matchup. Let's hope for a good fight and if it goes to the judges, let's hope for fair scorecards.

You're clearly delusional. Whenever Americans or Mexicans fight guys on a level playing field, you lose. Ramirez lost against a past prime Postal for f3ck sake. A fighter Taylor beat after just 13 fights. And are you forgetting the war with Progrias, the fighter Ramirez ducked twice?

Tell me when an American or Mexican takes a fight without a mass of disadvantages on the opponents side. I even see another one coming up with Spence fighting Manny. Manny has been out for 2 years. So, a typical American opponent. Not forgetting that he's 42 and finished at this point. Hell, only you two take losses even with a stacked table. No other nation does. Check the records. They don't lie. Only idiots do.

Saunders just got humbled on live tv. Typical UK loudmouth heathen gets woken from his delusional slumber. This kinda reminds me of Hamed vs Barrera.
