Jack Jones once beat Patsy Tunney in a boxing record 276-round fight in 1825. It appears that the back-and-forth war of words between Jermall Charlo and Demetrius Andrade will last longer than the 4.5-hour match from nearly 200 years ago without a single punch being thrown.

There are a few things wrong here:

1. Charlo mentions everyone wanting him to face the best in the world. Andrade is certainly closer to that than Montiel is

2. Charlo then says nobody cares about the WBO belt. That’s funny because I bet he would be happy to fight for it if somebody else had it. For example, you can’t tell me that Charlo wouldn’t fight someone like Chris Eubank Jr. for that belt.

It’s also ironic that his twin brother is facing WBO champion Brian Castano in a unification fight. I guess Jermell didn’t get the memo about how nobody should care about the WBO title, but I digress.

3. Last but not least, he says he wants unification fights. I bet that Andrade would fight Charlo in Houston, on Fox or Showtime, just to get a big fight.
